A NOTE FROM ED DECKER

Well, the elections have finally passed into history and it’s business as usual again. I do feel the immense relief in the absence of the foul odor of the TV and radio ads for ( or should I say against) most of the candidates. There needs to be some kind of ground swell of righteous anger from the voters against this kind of sick advertising. The stations which aired them are just as much at fault.

In ancient Israel, when the people fell into such corporate sin that they became an evil generation, the Lord let them have the leaders they wanted and deserved. I feel that time has come upon us in the United States. Yes, we still have honest, courageous and even Christian leaders in office, but I believe God has loosed this nation to reap the rewards of what it has sown in darkness.

I personally believe that when the President of the United States vetoed a bill banning (which means it is still being practiced) partial-birth abortions, it was a final step into the abyss. What a vile thing! The priests of Baal have taken way the righteousness of this nation.

Yet, we already know the ending and we joyously know where we and our saved loved ones will go from this place. There is a real revival breaking forth amongst may churches and I see a great harvest coming forth in the midst of this darkness over us. It is a time of lamenting the wicked state of our country, but also a time to be bold for Christ in everything we do, everywhere we do it. Let this holiday time be one where the Lord and your witness is on the tip of your tongue.

I had to laugh at the remarks made by Tyson and Holyfield after that upset in early November. After Tyson talked losing the fight and about the will of Allah, Holyfield stood, wearing a cap that said JESUS across it’s face and used his post fight time to talk about the wonders of the Lord and His love for us. You can be sure the hundreds of reporters heard the word. Well, we can be just as bold in all we do, can’t we!

The work to put our ministry on a web site on the Internet has been going along pretty well. I am still bogged down in bringing so many of the files over from the Mac to the PC and upgrading them to the latest version of Word or Pagemaker and then on to the net.

I am excited that the whole research data base of Saints Alive and so many of the tracts, etc. are now available world wide. In the Communications section of the site I am now posting emails from the Internet with comments, questions and my answers and expect that this will become an exciting forum.

We have been kept out of the ministry offices for most of November because of problems created by clear cut logging in a forest behind the property. A family of skunks set up housekeeping in the crawl space and after a few skirmishes with kids, dogs and cats, traps and anti-skunk sprays, the skunks are still winning at this time , having a strong lead (and odor!). Please be patient with us for a while. We may actually have to move the offices.

And please, this is just some poor animals who are frightened and lost. Compared to the real battles that we fight continually, this isn’t even in the same category. They even make us laugh...now and then...

On a more serious note, the ministry continues to stretch us, spiritually, physically and especially financially. We have so many faithful friends and supporters who not only keep us in prayer, but keep us in business with strong financial commitments. But, we are running in the red the last two months. We have gone beyond bare bones, and have been all the way into the marrow. In terms of dollars, it is about 1 month of operating expenses, or about $20,000. In terms of pressure and stress, it is substantial.

For the sake of the ministry, I pray that you look at the level of your support. If you are among those who have been the backbone of our donor base, praise God for you. If you haven’t made a commitment to be a regular donor, or haven’t given at all, please pray about sending in a special year end gift today and help us finish this great ministry year in the black.

Trip To Israel -March 3 to 14th

A letter from an LDS

Hi Ed: I’m LDS, and I’ve read your book “Godmakers” and I’ve seen the movie. I don’t blame anyone for taking a position against the LDS church if they so choose. A good example of this is the “Bible Answer Man”. While he is mistaken in condemning the LDS church, he at least does so with reason and dignity. Your efforts, on the other hand, seem designed to malign rather than to inform. I feel you know the church is true. To thine own self be true. Dave Kennedy.

Dear Dave, Thanks for writing. I appreciate your comments and will try to be a little more loving in my approach. I agree that the Bible Answer Man is a class act. Hank Hanegraaff is a personal friend of mine and I have been on the show, talking about Mormonism with him on numerous occasions. I also traveled with and did seminars (and many radio programs) on Mormonism with the original Bible Answer Man, Dr. Walter Martin, who was probably called more names than even I have been called. In fact, When I was still a Mormon, I felt, about him, the same you feel about me. I finally had to look past Him and see what He was saying.

I am sorry, but I truly know the church is false. I truly believe that the Mormon prophets, from Joseph Smith through the present prophet are false prophets and I believe that the Book of Mormon is not the Word of God. I believe that the path of Mormonism leads to destruction. Perhaps that’s why I have had such a drive to shout the warning cry to those I consider lost forever in spiritual darkness.

How can I inform Dave Kennedy without maligning you? I doubt that I can. However, I suggest that you download several of the articles in the Mormonism section of the web page, especially Problems With the Book Of Mormon or the Birth of Heresy or the False Prophecies of Joseph Smith. Look at them without Ed Decker being in between you the information. Then come back and let’s talk again.

Where where all the bees??

Dear Ed Decker:

I have a challenge for you. If you can prove to me that there were no honey bees in the America prior to the coming of the white man, I will throw away my copy of the Book of Mormon! On the other hand, if I can PROVE to YOU that there were honey bees in the Americas, you will go back to the Mormon Church and apologize to them! WILL YOU AGREE TO THIS CHALLENGE? Dear Mr. Brenner, Thank you for your interesting note and challenge. I am sorry but I will pass on your offer on the bee thing. You have only to throw away a spurious book about a people who didn’t exist if you are wrong. I would have to rejoin a church established by a false prophet and operating under another of the same cloth. Not exactly fair terms. I suggest you go into the Mormon section of the Research page in this website and download a few of the documents, such as the Massive Mormon Scripture Mess and then, after you have read them, talk to me about the Mormon Scriptures. On a bit lighter issue, why would I care if there were bees here before the Encyclopedia Brittanica, et al, say there were? Whatever in the world does the bee population of early Meso-America have to do with whether Joseph Smith was a true or false prophet? Maybe if you find some bees there, you might dig up a Curelom or Cumom or two for us while you are at it. With regard to the bee thing, I think you may be alluding to a tract printed by us but written by Dr. Thomas Key, Box 43, East Central Community College, Decatur MS 39227-0129. It is titled, A Biologist Looks at the Book of Mormon. I suggest you contact him and this time, give him a challenge that has some intelligent merit. I am sure he would be interested in your views on the other hundred or more scientific problems with your favorite book. Meanwhile, an inquiring mind is usually an open one and I pray that your own search will bring you to that place where you reach out to the joyous peace of the real Jesus.

Standing in the GAP

Mr. Decker,

You talk about the battle being with the powers of darkness and not with the Mason but I have to tell you that trying to talk to my father and mother about the problems with the Masons and Eastern Star is like a war. Please, if you are going to show us what is wrong, show us how to talk to our families so that they can understand! Nancy S.

Dear Nancy, You have the same name as my own sister, and I had the same fight with my own father, so I can really understand how you feel. When I first broached the subject with my Dad, he barely spoke to me for over a year. I kept praying for him and finally, the walls came down and my Dad renounced Freemasonry. But, it was a real battle. I suggest you look at the Freemasonry section of our website, where the following is filed.

Spiritual Warfare for someone involved in Freemasonry:

A key element in witnessing to a Mason is prayer! Whether or not the Mason is a Christian believer, he has evidently been blinded by Satan. You need to pray in a specific way, doing spiritual warfare against the demonic blindness which has encompassed him. 2 Cor. 4:3-4 says that “if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

This demonstrates the problem that Masons have. It is difficult to discuss reasonably the faith with them because of the Lodgery which blankets their minds and their hearts. It’s what makes them so difficult to witness to, and why prayer is the key.

We must wrestle spiritually with the Masonic principalities and powers (Eph.6:12). Ba’al, Baphomet, Dagon, Jahbulon, Hiram Abiff and Tubalcain are key demonic principalities which usually blind the Freemason. You must take authority over them as a believer in Christ and bind their influence away from the Mason, at least for a season (Mt. 16:19, 18:18). If you can find others in a prayer group or your church to agree in prayer with you, so much the better! (Mt.18:20)

Bind the demons of Masonry which may be oppressing him at least for a short time, long enough for you to have a window of opportunity in which to share with him! (Mk.16:17) You need to pray against the deceitful spirits of the lodge in advance, perhaps for days or even weeks.

As Paul writes, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”—2 Cor.10:4-5.

The first, The Oaths, deals with the ungodly oaths of the lodge and the way to break their power over you and your family. The second, The Knights of Columbus, deals with the lodgery of the Roman Catholic Church.

Computer Stuff

INBOUND: As we go ahead with the new “Internet” Computer system, we have a very great need for a quality scanner (such as a HP 4C or like) for our Windows 95 PC system. We would welcome an outright gift of such a unit or any help with the $650 cost for one.

OUTBOUND: We have an brand new external scsi Panasonic 4x CD unit still in the box which we would delight to sell to one of our partners, as well as a used CMS 44 mg removable disk drive with about 10 cartridges.
