DECKER WRITES THE PRESIDENT 4/13/2002
Dear Mr. President:
I am in such grief this day over the situation in Israel that I can hardly
function. It is incomprehensible to me that you have softened your position
on terrorism to allow Secretary Powell to give that murdering Egyptian liar,
Arafat, more access to the international press to spout yet another set of
lies.
If his friends were killing Americans, you would be singing a different
tune. But somehow, the oil monarchies have taken your zeal for truth and
honor and washed it in oil. Just as we did when Iraq was lobbing scud
missiles into the civilian population of Israel, we are telling Israel to
sit back and let their people be killed.
I voted for your father and I voted for you. I never, ever expected to see
you back down from ANY terrorists, let alone for political expediency. I am
already weighing my vote for 2004.
Please, Sir, stand as strong in this case as you did when these same
terrorists killed the innocent people in New York and DC. If you let Arafat,
who isn't even a Palestinian, get away with his murdering ways again, we
will be seeing the same kinds of suicide bombings in America. Oh, I forgot.
they are now downgraded to homicide bombings... that's nice for them.
You can't bargain with terrorists, Mr. President. When it will soon reach
our own shores, you can be sure the blood of the innocent dead will be on
this administration's shoulders for backing down in the face of evil in the
Mideast.

Subject: Jehovah's Witness 3 year study
research exposes a false gospelMr. Decker and Staff,
First of all my
brother in Christ, I pray for you and your ministry as there is a tremendous spiritual
battle taking place as we speak. I am involved in meetings with the Jehovah's
Witnesses (and Mormons) in an attempt to extract the belief's in which they hold so
strongly too. One day, about 3 years ago, two members of the Jehovah's Witnesses
knocked on my door and promulgated a perception of what they thought to be the truth to
me. I asked them to prove their authority of why they thought they had to
be doing what they were doing and they said that they were God's organization and
that one could only be saved through it. That bothered me because I firmly
believed in Jesus as being our advocate with the Father and our lone
mediator between us and God.
I prayed to the
Lord Jesus for guidance and understanding into the Scriptures as I continued to meet
with them (about 12 times in all). I believe that Jesus is God because they word of
God say's he is in John 20:28 and Hebrews 1:8 is what I told them about the identity of
Jesus and what the word of God said concerning his person. After telling me that I
was wrong and then being told he was the arch angel Michael in about a dozen bushes they
were trying to beat around I asked for Scripture to show me that Jesus was Michael the
arch angel. They could not but said "it is a reasonable assumption to
make" and "well we believe that is what the Scriptures say." I could
not believe in an assumption nor would I follow an organization that robs my Lord and
Saviour Jesus the Christ with everything that makes him almighty God. I told them I
do not believe in a three-headed God or three god's in one but the one true God who
reveals Himself through three persons.
The issue I had
mostly with them is how they explained to me what I believe! The took the beauty of
the Godhead and with their blind eyes and hearts made it seem like some demonic
ideal. This was absolutely
unacceptable to me and 1 Thessalonians 5:21 forced me to exactly show them why I believe
the way I do. The word of God is infallible and perfect and every manner and pierces
through every lie like a knife through butter. The following is an excerpt I am
writing in a document called "The Investigation" - How a knock on a door allowed
one bible verse to expose an entire religion'.
((My Jehovah's
Witness visitors, I believe that Jesus is God because the word of God say's he is,
and I cannot in good conscience believe otherwise, I pray that the Holy Spirit guides you
into the truth. You have given me assumptions, I give you Scripture. Pleas respond
with your response))

Ed Decker's work load is such that occasionally he asks me to assist
him in answering some of the email he receives regarding Freemasonry. Please allow
me to introduce myself. My name is Duane Washum. I was initiated, passed and
raised in 1978 at Vegas Lodge No. 32, Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1983 I was Worshipful
Master of that lodge. But in 1984, Jesus led me out of the darkness of the lodge and
into His light. He pointed out to me that He is the Light. And that since He
is not allowed in Masonic lodge rooms, there is no way that my search for light that
Masonry refers to, will ever be accomplished there; that it is found in John 8:12
Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who
follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life." I
have my own ministry - In Search Of Light Ministries, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Additionally, I am an active participant in Ex Masons For Jesus.
Let's go through your letter together, okay?:
Dear Sir I think what you are
doing is sick iam a mason and my father is a mason and so is my grandfather.
I am terribly sorry to hear that, but I can certainly relate to
it. Virtually everyone in my family - other than my wife and children - are
Masonically affiliated also. As a matter of fact, it was one of my dad's final
wishes before he passed away that was the catalyst for my becoming a Mason. There
was nobody I loved or respected more, than my father. It was heartbreaking to me,
when I came out of Freemasonry, to realize that so many members of my family, all of whom
I loved dearly, had been so terribly misled, just like I was.
My pastor at my church is one also.
Herein lies one of the major problems. So many men have
automatically assumed that because their pastors are Masons, there is nothing wrong with
being a Mason themselves. Sad to say, in so many instances either the pastor himself
has never taken the time to seriously consider what Freemasonry is actually teaching, or
even more unfortunately, he is only a hireling and not a true shepherd. I would hope
that it is simply a matter that your pastor does not fully understand what he is a part
of.
I would like to know why you think the
masons are so bad?
I do not think Masons are bad. I only believe they have been
misled. At least, part of them have been misled. Of course there are many
Masons who are Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems, etc., so becoming a Mason was not that
much of a problem for them, since none of them accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
anyway.
It hase done nothing but mad me a
better person and a better beliver in GOD.You have to belive in god to be a mason.
Actually, this isn't true at all. In fact, if you will tell me
which state you are from, I can probably come up with what is actually the more accurate
statement, that being that Masons are required "to believe in the existence of a
Supreme Being." But then, of course, if you have bought into the concept that
the "god" prayed to in the lodge (Masonry's "Great Architect Of The
Universe") is a symbol representing all gods of all mankind, it becomes clearer why
you would say such a thing. But, there is no requirement that all who become Masons
must believe in the True and Living God who is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
So i say to you what is so bad about
that?It is very bad what you are doing. It sounds to me like you used to be one and you got
kicked out for somthing that you did.
Doesn't really matter what it
sounds like to you, especially since the truth of the matter is that I quit. You can
read my testimony on the Ex Masons For Jesus website. The address is shown at the
bottom of this email.
By the way, out of curiosity,
would you mind telling me what denomination the church is that you attend, where the
pastor is a Mason? Only reason I am asking is because I can probably show you
at least two statements of faith from your own church which are in opposition to beliefs
of Freemasonry.

MO-lympics or NO-lympics? MO-lympics! It's about: - TERROR ABOUT TERRORISM! -
"THE" OLYMPIC SCANDAL - CHURCH BULLIES - MOONIE-MORMONS - PATTERNS OF DECEIT -
RACIALLY OFFENSIVE - OFFENSIVE TO THE WORLD - WHETHER TO CANCEL MO-lympics: TERROR ABOUT
TERRORISM! A daughter is scheduled to dance at the Olympic games, but her father said they
may be leaving town! If you are not sure about your family and eternal life, that might be
a good example to follow. Why the exodus? The threat of bomb, biological and chemical
warfare is becoming a looming danger to the people of Salt Lake City. Much before the
plane crash tragedies an article read, "An Olympic likelihood: bomb threats".
Was the concern about America being the prime target? No. "Utah is also a prime
target because of the high profile of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints." [ http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/1%2C1249%2C270010147%2C00.html ], April
04, 2001 MO-lympics: "THE" OLYMPIC SCANDAL The Mormon church is making its
greatest move for expansion. It has become a "THE" thing! People speak with
familiarity about "THE" Olympic Scandal, as SLOC was birthed under a legal cloud
with "THE" LDS church behind it. To Salt Lake City it is how "THE"
street was swindled by the church for its landscape by Temple Square. To the International
media it how Mormonism became "THE" Church of Jesus Christ. Imagine announcing,
"This is America! And this is its 'THE' Church of Jesus Christ!" Is the name
change honestly all about being right-oriented as an LDS point-man explains? "'And,'
said Elder Oaks, who is a former Utah State Supreme Court justice and, before that, was
president of Brigham Young University, 'this is brought to focus and given a kind of
timeline by the Olympics, when we're going to have an invasion by your associates in the
media the likes of which no continental Western city has ever had before.' Church
officials say they expect close to 10,000 journalists for the Olympics
'This
decision is right-oriented, not result-oriented,' Elder Oaks said." (The New York
Times printed on February 19, 2001) MO-lympics: CHURCH BULLIES To Christians it is
"THE" Mormon effort to silence us. A Utah pastor writes, "Whenever I ask if
Mormons can become gods, I have hit another of their buttons. They are determined to
squash any such questions with the intimidation of the security guards. You'd think one
had pulled out a bomb, or that one was in Russia where free exchange of ideas is not
tolerated. It is just ridiculous to treat people the way they are on Temple Square. You
are observant about the missionaries lying. They run parallel with the Unification
Churches doctrine of "heavenly deception": basically it means the ends justifies
the means, even deception, if you can win one over to your side. The deception on Temple
Square is so blatant
Mormon missionaries
are trained to take exposers of
darkness and make them look like they are attacking Mormonism, or some other illegal act.
It is a purposeful tactic I think you will consistently find. I hope there will be efforts
made during the Olympics to publicize around Temple Square what Mormons believe."
MO-lympics: MOONIE-MORMONS The cults are accomplished at control. Would their scheming
play the world into their grip while at the same time kindle the wrath of others? While
Moonies and Mormons both feign and court after Christianity, mind-game cults must be
excluded from the genuine. Romancing the world, members of the International Children's
Choir sing along with members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during a news conference to
introduce the new LDS Church musical and theatrical production, "Light of the
World." It is a global-themed show to run during Winter Games. (Standard-Examiner,
Janae Francis, August Miller, Sep 20, 2001) They properly seem to belong together.
Together, it is something like Moon-mon. It has a familiar ring since Joseph Smith and
Brigham Young were the first real Moonies! Smith said men on the moon were about six feet
tall, dressed like Quakers and living about 1,000 years. (The Young Woman's Journal, 1892,
Vol.3, pp.263-264) Prophet Young taught that both the moon and sun were inhabited. (JofD,
1880, p.271) MO-lympics: PATTERNS OF DECEIT (Scandalous from the top) Lie 1. Where There
Is Dishonesty
A question was posed to the LDS prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley: "For
instance, don't Mormons believe that God was once a man?" Hinckley's response:
"I wouldn't say that
" (See: The San Francisco Chronicle [ http://www.sfgate.com/chronicle/
]. Enter 4-13-97) Lie 2. Where There Is Dishonesty
The LDS President-Prophet said
the concept of God having been a man is not stressed any longer. (See the Public
Broadcasting System. [ http://www.pbs.org/search/
]. Enter July 18, 1997) Lie 3. Where There Is Dishonesty
A Time Magazine
representative asked about the Mormon belief that humans can become gods, and that God the
Father was once a man. Prophet Hinckley responded, "I don't know that we teach it, I
don't know that we emphasize it... I understand the philosophical background behind it,
but I don't know a lot about it, and I don't think others know a lot about it."
(Time, Aug. 4, 1997, p.56). Lie 4. Where There Is Dishonesty
Seeking an explanation
for Hinckley's denials, the Institute for Religious Research wrote to the LDS church. In
response, the Secretary to the First Presidency claimed that President Hinckley's words
were taken out of context. However, Time Magazine offers transcripts demonstrating the LDS
lies! (See the communications in "Dodging and Dissembling Prophet?" [ http://www.irr.org/mit/hinckley.html
]) So what of "Where There Is Honesty"? Shortly after the "prophet's"
string of lying to the public, Hinckley wrote "Standing for Something". He
called chapter 2, "Where There Is Honesty, Other Virtues Will Follow". What
breathtaking hypocrisy! Of whom was he thinking, saying: "The apparent number of
citizens who seem remarkably unconcerned about major breaches of trust by public figures
has been disheartening and surprising
Imagine the terror of a society that condones
or at least turns a collective blind eye to dishonesty. The prospects are
horrifying!
We are barraged with vivid displays of dishonesty on the nightly news.
The media parade before us a veritable procession of deception in its many ugly
forms
Indeed, the strength and safety of any organization - including the family -
lie in the integrity of its members
In their greed to enlarge their own kingdom,
they enticed others to invest with them
we cannot be less than honest
if we are
to merit the trust and confidence of those with whom we live, work, and associate."
(pp. 17-31) MO-lympics: RACIALLY OFFENSIVE The statue of famed racist Brigham Young is by
the LDS temple, the backdrop for the medal ceremonies. View original documents that
demonstrate the racial bitterness of this exonerated Mormon prophet: Brigham Young
slandered blacks! [ http://www.mormonism-web.com/jds/jd07_290.htm ] Brigham Young
pronounced death for mixing races! [ http://www.mormonism-web.com/jds/jd10_110.htm
] Brigham Young mis-prophesied about the Civil War! [ http://www.mormonism-web.com/jds/jd10_250.htm
] And Brigham Young damned the Jews! [ http://www.mormonism-web.com/jds/jd02_143.htm
] Another LDS prophet said dark skin represents the devil! [ http://www.mormonism-web.com/jds/jd22_304.htm
] Imagine naming a university after Brigham Young or a building after Joseph Smith! Were
they racists? "Because of that curse this dark race was separated and isolated from
all the rest of Adam's posterity before the flood, and since that time the same condition
has continued, and they have been 'despised among all people.' This doctrine did not
originate with President Brigham Young but was taught by the prophet Joseph Smith."
(The Way to Perfection, pp. 110-111). From its inception until the Civil Rights movement,
Mormonism has vigorously and viciously taught their brand of racism against dark skin,
Indians, blacks and Jews. No wonder many LDS blacks coming to Utah leave Mormonism. Not
only do the statements of Mormon leaders reveal mean-spirited racial slurs, but the LDS
"scriptures" still champion the same wicked attitude. Dark skin is equated with
evil. RACISM in the Book of Mormon: 1 Nephi 11:13 "...she was exceedingly fair and
white." 1 Nephi 12:23 "...In unbelief they became a dark, and loathsome, and a
filthy people, full of idleness and all manner of abominations." (Prophecy of
Lamanites after Christ) 1 Nephi 13:15 "...they were white, and exceedingly fair and
beautiful, like unto my people [Nephites] before they were slain." 2 Nephi 5:21
"...a sore cursing...as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that
they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to
come upon them." 2 Nephi 30:6 "...scales of darkness shall begin to fall...they
shall be a white and delightsome people." (Prophecy to Lamanites changed to
"pure" and "delightsome" in 1981) Jacob 3:5 "...whom ye hate
because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skins..."
(Lamanites cursed) Jacob 3:8-9 "...their skins will be whiter than yours...revile no
more against them because of the darkness of their skins..." Alma 3:6 "...skins
of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which
was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion..." Alma 3:8
"...that their seed might be distinguished from the seed of their brethren...that
they might not mix..." Alma 3:9 "...whosoever did mingle his seed with that of
the Lamanites did bring the same curse upon his seed." Alma 3:14 "Thus the word
of God is fulfilled... Behold, the Lamanites [native Americans] have I cursed, and I will
set a mark on them that they and their seed may be separated from thee and thy see, from
this time henceforth and forever, except they repent of their wickedness and turn to me
that I may have mercy upon them." Alma 3:19 "...brought upon themselves the
curse..." Alma 23:18 "...[Lamanites] did open a correspondence with them
[Nephites] and the curse of God did no more follow them." 3 Nephi 2:14-16
"...Lamanites who had united with the Nephites were numbered among the Nephites; And
their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the
Nephites...became exceedingly fair..." 3 Nephi 19:25 & 30 "...they were as
white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof
did exceed all the whiteness...nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof...they
were white, even as Jesus." Mormon 5:15 "...shall become a dark, a filthy, and a
loathsome people, beyond the description of that which ever hath been amongst us..."
(Prophecy against the Indian Lamanites) Mormon 5:17 "They were once a delightsome
people..." RACISM in the Pearl of Great Price: Moses 7:12 "...Enoch continued to
call upon all the people, save it were [except] the people of Canaan, to repent..."
Moses 7:22 "...for the seed of Cain were black and had not place among them."
Abraham 1:21 "...king of Egypt [Pharaoh] was a descendant from the loins of Ham, and
was a partaker of the blood of the Canaanites by birth." (cursed peoples of the East)
Abraham 1:27 "...Pharaoh being of that lineage by which he could not have the right
of Priesthood..." RACISM in Joseph Smith's "New Translation" of the Bible:
NOTE: The LDS church is embarrassed of the Joseph Smith bible, but the RLDS went ahead and
printed his "Inspired Translation". In a long added passage Smith had this to
say: Genesis 7:10 "And there was a blackness came upon all the children of Cainan,
that they were despised among all people." Genesis 7:14 "And it came to pass,
that Enoch continued to call upon all the people, save it were the people of Cainan, to
repent." (Mormons still considered black people to be unworthy of their missionary
efforts in 1966. "The gospel message of salvation is not carried affirmatively to
them [blacks]..." Mormon Doctrine, p. 527, 1966 ed.). Genesis 7:29 "
for
the seed of Cain were black, and had not place among them." Genesis 9:30
"
and Canaan shall be his servant, and a veil of darkness shall cover him, that
he shall be known among all men." For further study: A Canadian pastor wrote a

WORLD The conspiracies around the Olympic games have been thick since the beginning. And
the impact is that chapter still yet to be written. America needs to recognize the tense
situation SLOC has brought us to or else face the music one day soon. What country
arrogantly puts the medal ceremonies next to a religious shrine or mosque? Wouldn't that
offend us as Americans? Should the Olympics be in Rome, must the ceremony be overshadowed
by the Vatican? Should atheists, Muslims, Christians or people from any race or religion
or be forced to celebrate before the backdrop of a LDS temple? Take the Olympics to Japan
and it reflects what? Japan. Take the Olympics to America and it reflects what? LDS! Is
Mormonism correctly and broadly associated with America, or were the founders, Joseph
Smith and Brigham Young, flatly and positively rejected by their American contemporaries
and the leaders of the United States of America? NO-lympics: WHETHER TO CANCEL - Whereas
terrorism is a threat
- Whereas there has been so much slight-of-hand
-
Whereas Brigham Young would be offensive to dark-skinned peoples around the world
-
Whereas this has turned into a religious Olympics
- Whereas the Mormon cult presumes
to represent America
- Whereas MO-lympic arrogance may enrage certain
countries
- Whereas the hot resentments of radicals may endanger lives . . . Let me
forewarn America today, MO-lympics was a mistake from the very start. Chuck Brocka |
Dear Ed:
I just don't know where to start, but I think it is important for you to
know how you have impacted my life.
First let me start off with I am a Christian and attend a Southern Baptist
Church. I have never belonged to the Mormon church nor would I have ever even
thought of it, but you see my sister in-law is Mormon. Seven months ago we moved to
Colorado (by God's leading) from Oregon. When we got here money was tight so we decided
that it would be best if we rented a house together with my brother and sister in-law. I
knew before we left Oregon that one of the reasons God was calling us to Colorado was for
Mary. Two weeks after moving in together she brought up religion. So right there while we
were unpacking I witnessed to her. She said she wanted to do more research on this (which
never really happened) and I left it at that. Not to bore you with all of the little and
some big things that have happened since then we found ourselves at that same starting
point. Her husband had told her that he no longer could be married to a Mormon and that
she needed to decided what was real for her. Let me add now that Mary is 5 1/2 months
pregnant and the baby has anencephaly (a story of it's own) and will die shortly after
birth. All of this has brought a new light to Christ and His word. Both Mary and David
have been going to church with me since they found out about the baby. With all of that
said, David had given Mary a week to finish her research and make a decision. Last
Saturday was the deadline. Last Saturday I went and rented the movies "The God
Makers" and "The Temple of the God Makers." This was quite a shock to her
and sent her studying the Bible to find the TRUTH!! We spent 4 hours looking at what God
says about Him. I have to tell you that all of this took place as a result from watching
your videos. I can't tell you Thank you enough times. Mary wrote a letter to her Dad (who
is a strong Mormon) and asked him about the movies. He responded with the usual
response,"It was made by people excommunicated from the church because they could not
follow the strict rules of God" but more than that she saw in the movies. Her eyes
were opened as a result of your movies. Again, Thank you.
My sister in-law still has not made a decision for Christ but I do believe that she
is very close. Please pray for her, for all of us. I just wanted you to know the impact
that a movie that was made a long time ago has made on our family.
In Christ's Hand,
Susan M.

| Dear Ed, As a recently recovered birth-mormon (going to get my name
off the records first thing monday) who is now free from the fog and ready to start
searching for truth for the first time in his life (I am 35 yrs old), I appreciate what
you are doing here on the web to help expose this tragedy. Reading the materiel from yours
and others web sites provided the "straw that broke the camel's back" , so to
speak, which allowed me to will away the stubborn, subconscious, mormon beliefs I held.
There are truckloads of evidence. In short, what you are doing really helps. Your cause
is not in vain. Thank you, Ed.
I know you get a lot of hostility from the LDS people. That's why I'm writing to give
you my support and encouragement. I was taught to treat people like you as crazed
fanatics. Boy, was I wrong. It is mind-boggling to think of how such a collossal and
diabolical empire has been created through deception. It makes one gasp for breath. I was
indeed the victim of a cult. When this realization first hit me, it was like a bolt of
lightning. Pure shock! Enormous! It changed my life forever. I could never have imagined.
Never.
I weep for the rest of my family. They are still trapped. I believe it is my
moral obligation to help them escape this tragedy. I see them in an entirely different
light now, and I have love and compassion for them.
Thanks, again,
Tom

| Dear Ed, I was a Mormon for 17 years. 10 years ago I got saved,
because of a seed that was planted by two Christian missionaries from Campus Crusade. 17
years after the planting of that seed I was saved My husband and I are both street
preachers, Of five children all but one has come out of the church she is a RM, (returned
missionary) very hard core Mormon, (Like I Was).
A conversation I had with her was similar to this. "Stacy, I dont care what
your beliefs are, what really matters is, "Do you really know Jesus Christ in your
hear? Is he real to you? Do you feel his presence? Do you spend time with him daily? Does
you life revolve around him? Do you know that the blood of Jesus is what will get you into
heaven? Its not by any works, works come from commitment in your new life in Christ
once you believe, its like after you plant the tree then the fruit comes. She said
yes to all these questions. Do you think she is saved? I dont get a peace about it.
We love your ministry I will intercede for it.
Love your books,
Karen

| Dear Ed, You have prayed for our family before. In Sept. 1996 my husband
burned all of his Shriner, Scottish Rite and Masonic articles. He came forward at church
and made a profession as Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After that he had a more teachable
spirit but has had an underlying hostility and has been harassed and tormented. (I believe
he was coerced by me to demit and am not sure his heart was really in it. I am putting out
a Kingdom SOS. Would you please have your network of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ
pray. Blessings on you and Gods ministry through you.
In Jesus,

| Dear Ed, I have greatly appreciated your newsletter as it always
contains useful information. But no newsletter contained more information for me than the
May-June issue of 1996. About 5 months ago, I led a man to the Lord. [ed note: the man's
daughter was studying to become a Mormon and came for a visit. Ken was asked to minister
to her} .
I wanted to tell you this story because I walked her through your "Mormonism
Teaches" list, item by item. She was bothered by some of what I challenged her with
concerning the false teachings, but as time went on she finally came to a place where she
could not argue with Scripture and she finally surrendered. The Lord was very gracious
through the whole time and with a heart that truly wanted to know Jesus, she prayed to
receive Christ as her Savior. So, I encourage you to keep up the good work and to continue
supplying us with your solid teaching materials,.......

| Dear Ed: Thanks so much for your work in exposing the true nature of
Mormonism. My wife and I were Mormons, but we left the church one and a half years
ago, and were baptized in an evangelical church 9 months ago. Our lives have been greatly
blessed ever since. Your book and film, the Godmakers, were very instrumental during our
time of questioning and decision. Your work is so greatly neededso dont ever
stop!
There are many Mormons out there who blindly follow the church but feel emptiness and
discouragement in return.Your work guides Mormons in the right direction: the Bible (the
one and only true Word). Only in Jesus can one feel true peace and attain eternal
lifenot by participating in false temple rituals!

| Dear Ed, Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am writing you to get your take on something that has happened in our church. A
Mormon recently began attending our church by invitation. This guy is as polished and
slick as any Mormon I have ever met. He (through a policy flaw) weaseled his way into the
choir and began attending Sunday school classes. He was never there to learn, but to
teach. Every time he opened his mouth, he said things that were just off center enough to
alert a discerning believer. Our church is presently without a full-time pastor. Our music
minister told me about him, as he was open about his affiliations. I counseled our music
minister that we should wait until we are sure about his motives.
It became clear immediately that he had no intention of renouncing Joseph Smith and
Mormonism. In fact, like a virus, the longer he was allowed to stay the bolder he got.
Finally I confronted him in a not-too-loving manner. I believed that because he was openly
trying to introduce his doctrine into our church, he did not rate politeness. Our interim
pastor and our music minister have spoken at length with him. He is arrogant, entrenched
and bold. He was finally removed from the choir and asked to leave the church. Because of
the ignorance of some our people he was made to feel quite accepted in the Sunday Schools,
even though he was constantly making doctrinal comments that were un-Biblical.
My question is, to your knowledge, are there additional incentives, rewards, or
positions given to those who attempt to infiltrate evangelical churches? One woman
suggested that he might be trying earn his way to becoming a bishop.
I e-mailed CRI a short time back concerning this same situation. They told me that
missionaries are encouraged to go into churches and proselytize.
Any additional information you can give will be appreciated tremendously.
God bless your ministry.
In His Service,
Nova
P.S. As a last try, our music minister gave him a copy of "The God
Makers". His outrage and disgust told all of us that he was not seeking, but seeking
to destroy.

| Dear Mr. Decker, Are you dead yet?
A Mormon Missionary
Eds answer: Nope...Alive and kicking, writing and seeing Mormons get
saved... What a wonderful, joyous life!
|
| Dear Mr. Decker, My husband and I are now ex-Mormons and we are
writing you because my husband felt he owes you an apology. My Christian mother put us on
your mailing list and my husband called you and very angrily asked to be removed from your
mailing list. Since then we have traveled that very rocky road from Mormonism to the Truth
and even though there is a lot to tell we just want to say we are sorry. We understand
from your recent newsletter to my mother that you have been ill and we are praying for
you. Would you please put us back on your mailing list? We have been reading everything we
can get our hands on and we have benefited greatly from your book "Complete Handbook
on Mormonism" . We also have finally met some other former Mormons. Thank you for
your love and guidance to those of us out there in need of the truth.
May God Bless You,
Forrest and Cheryl

| Greetings Ed in the precious Name of Jesus, In 1962, I was born into
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was blessed in December of 1962
and baptized on December 5, 1970. Confirmed on Fast Sunday, December 6, 1970. When I was
14, I received my Patriarchal Blessing. When I was 16, I lost my faith. For the following
10 years, I was semi-agnostic and "believed God in my own way." When I was 27,
the lights went on. I was dating a nice Christian girl who attended Walter Martin's Bible
class. Her brother used to keep Walter's book in his parents bedroom and then clobber me
with it when we were teenagers.
There was one thing she ultimately said that disturbed me. "I am Christian, you
are not! You will never accept Christianity and accept what I am." I told her that I
would look into it and I wasn't afraid of it. Not only was I not afraid of it, I EMBRACED
IT!!! I'm not with her anymore. While I was studying in college, I met a nice Jewish
agnostic girl. She is now a Jewish believer and my wife. God is truly amazing. He works in
spite of us. This demonstrates how much He loves us.
We both thank you for your ministry and keep up the good work.
In Christ Jesus,
Dan & Amy North

| Mr. Decker, I am a Black man who has been approached by many of my fellow
Black Christians because I have allowed the Mormons to come into my home twice in the past
two weeks when they knocked on my door. My friends speak of the racial history of the
Mormons and I found further information on your website. However, my question is ... why
should I care what Mormons formerly taught about Blacks as inferior beings?
They dont teach that doctrine anymore and now reject it. How are they any
different than say, the Baptists in this regard? Are not most Christian sects in America
guilty of this same kind of thing in their own past and even today? After all, it was
mostly Baptist KKK members in our countrys horrifying racial past who raped and
lynched my brothers and sisters. Even today most KKK members are Baptists. Mormons may
have taught we are inferior at one time, but they were never guilty of other such
atrocities. Can we not forgive them, when so many Christian churches were involved in far
worse actions?
I guess my final point is, why should I care about what Mormons once taught when
the atrocities perpetrated by other "Christians" in the past and today are FAR
WORSE?
Your friend in Jesus,
Greg

| Dear Ed, I have studied the Masons on your web-site and others whom I
consider to be respectable Christian writers and I have a question I am hoping you can
help me with. I realize you can not tell me what to do but I hope you can offer some
guidance to me.
I am planning on marrying a man who is both a Baptist Pastor and a Freemason in the
York Rite. On learning about Masonry I am now having second thoughts as to the wisdom of
going through with this marriage. I have asked him to read some of your literature but he
says it is all a witch hunt and is not true. He has shown me some books he has from his
lodge where there are passages from the Bible and prayers that are said to Jesus so he
rejects the idea that any God will do and that Jesus is not mentioned in the lodge. I
would appreciate any guidance you can offer to me.
Please, may I remain anonymous.

| Mr Decker, I am writing to formally thank you for writing your book THE
GODMAKERS. I read it about 10 years ago (approx) and basically disregarded it...but it
stayed in my bottom drawer AND in the back of my mind.
Every fast and testimony meeting I thought of it. Every Sacrament meeting I thought of
it. Every Homemaking meeting I thought of it. Eventually I was thinking about it all the
time! My heart was softening and letting my MIND think for itself. Finally, I have been
able to free myself emotionally and spiritually from this church. (thank you, thank you,
thank you)
I was a member for more than 20 years. True-blue Mormon. Something has clicked
inside and now I am searching for the truth. I have 4 children (the oldest is 14) that I
now need to set a new path for. The internet has been such a wonderful source of
information for me! I cant believe that there are other Mormons out there that are
having the same doubts that I have been having! Its such a miracle that I found this
site!
Thank you for being brave enough to put into words what you knew was the truth! I will
always be grateful to you for being the one to shine the light on this false religion. God
Bless you in all you do.
Sincerely, Angela H. |
